Calibration & drift monitoring

Precision calibration for robot fleets

Monitor sensor alignment, arm precision, camera drift, and calibration health across robots operating over repeated shifts. Detect drift before failure with calibration scorecards, sensor drift plots, and maintenance triggers.

How scorecards are computed

Each calibration scorecard combines multi-sensor readings into a unified health metric. Alignment is measured via laser tracker against a reference fixture. Drift rate is computed from a moving window of the last 50 calibration cycles. Precision index captures repeatability across identical test trajectories. All metrics are compared against configurable tolerance bands calibrated per robot model.

Multi-sensor fusion

Unified calibration pipeline

Calibra runs a unified calibration pipeline that fuses joint encoder, LiDAR, and camera data in a single optimization pass. Crosshair alignment targets are used as fiducial references. Each sensor is independently tracked for drift with per-sensor tolerance bands that trigger maintenance alerts before cumulative error exceeds operational thresholds.

Robot calibration field context

From detection to resolution

Automated triggers escalate drift signals into actionable maintenance workflows before precision degrades.

1
Detect Drift
Continuous monitoring flags any parameter exceeding its tolerance band during routine calibration cycles.
2
Classify Severity
Drift is classified as informational, warning, or critical based on distance from the calibrated nominal.
3
Generate Work Order
Critical and warning events auto-generate maintenance work orders with the affected sensor and drift delta.
4
Verify & Close
Post-maintenance recalibration confirms the parameter is back within tolerance before the work order is closed.
